Hi, I’m Alexandra Maye!
I live in the Midwest with my partner and our two cats (cat tax below). I’ve always been an avid reader, and I attempted to write stories as a child, but really began my writing journey at age 14. After high school, I got my Bachelor’s degree in Writing from Drake University. Over the years, I wrote down story ideas and slowly developed my fantasy world until finally completing short stories that I could share on my blog. Now, I’m planning to release my debut cozy fantasy novella this fall, with much more to come!
Fun facts about me:
- I have a huge sweet tooth, especially for chocolate
- I have been to 9 countries outside of the US
- I absolutely HATE cooking- it takes too much thought, time, and effort (and the there’s the dishes after), but I LOVE food, and if I ever win the lottery, I’m getting a private chef!!
- I played volleyball in middle school and my team won the state tournament in 8th grade- that was the peak, and end, of my sports career
- One time when I was visiting Texas, I got stung by a scorpion… IN MY BED
- I volunteered and then worked at a living history museum for several years
- If I didn’t write, my craft/hobby of choice would be sewing! I actually made the gray skirt in the above photo!
